CINP 2014 Congress Awards
CINP 2014 Poster Awards
Clinical, translational, and basic neurosci-
ence research awards are given. Those pre-
senting the best posters receive a certificate.
These awards serve to encourage young sci-
entists (under 35) who are actively involved
in clinical and preclinical research. The final
selection of Poster Awards will be made on
the basis of the study’s scientific excellence
during the congress. The awards will be
handed out during the closing ceremony on
Thursday, 26 June 2014.
Neuroscience Basic
Research Award
The CINP Lilly Neuroscience Basic Research
Award was established in 1998 and is given
to a scientist in recognition of an outstanding
contribution to psychopharmacology. The
work which forms the basis for this award
should be internationally recognized. An in-
ternational scientific jury has selected Bita
Moghaddam, USA, as the 2014 awardee.
Neuroscience Clinical
Research Award
The CINP Lilly Neuroscience Clinical Re-
search Award, established in 1998, and is giv-
en to a scientist in recognition of an outstand-
ing contribution to psychopharmacology. The
contributions which form the basis for this
award should be internationally recognized.
An international scientific jury has selected
Eduard Vieta, Spain, as the 2014 awardee.
Max Hamilton Memorial Prize
Max Hamilton, M.D. (1912 – 1988) is best
known for his assessment of depressive ill-
ness through psychometrics. The Hamilton
Rating Scale for Depression is widely used
throughout the world, and his 1960 paper on
the problem of measuring the severity of de-
pression is probably the most cited medical
publication in the second half of the twenti-
eth century. The Max Hamilton Memorial
Prize is given to a young scientist in recogni-
tion of an outstanding contribution to psy-
chopharmacology. An international scientific
jury has selected Rudolf Uher, Canada/UK,
as the 2014 awardee.
