General Information

Restaurants

Some restaurants and bars can be found in the food court

just opposite the Vancouver Convention Centre. The coal

harbour cafeteria is located in the concourse ground floor.

The staff of Tourism Vancouver will be happy to recommend

tips for dining out.

Coffee breaks

Coffee and tea are served during the breaks from Thursday

afternoon, 20 April to Sunday 23 April 2017 free of charge

to all registered participants within the exhibition area.

Cloakroom

A cloakroom is available on the East Convention Level Lobby

next to the registration counter. You can also store your

luggage there.

Bank

An ATM machine is located in the East Convention Level

Lobby.

Currency

The official currency is the Canadian Dollar CAD. Exchange

of foreign currency is available at Vancouver airport and

at most hotels, banks and exchange offices throughout

the city.

Electricity

The electrical supply is 110 Volts and 60 Hertz. Canada uses

the two-flat pin system.

Lost and found

A lost and found service is available at the registration

counter of the congress.

Mobile phones

Participants are kindly requested to keep their mobile

phones turned off while attending the scientific sessions

in the meeting rooms.

Programme Changes

The organisers cannot assume liability for any changes in

the congress programme due to external or unforeseen

circumstances. In the event of cancellation by speakers or

other changes in the main programme, no full or partial

refund of the registration fee can be made.

RecordIng

Cameras, video cameras or audio recording devices are not

permitted in the session rooms. Any recording of sessions

is strictly forbidden.

Climate

Sun will be followed by rain… Vancouver is Canada´s third

most rainy city with over 161 rainy days per year however

the city has a moderate oceanic climate. In April, the ave-

rage temperature is 14°C/ 5° F and the wheater conditions

are permanently changing.

Press

Journalists should bring their press ID and register at the

registration counter.

Insurance

The congress fee does not include insurance. All participants

should arrange for their own insurance. Health and accident

insurance is recommended and has to be purchased in your

country of origin.
