The final programme and abstracts will be published on the
internet at CO CONGRESS ONLINE
®
prior to the congress.
This enables each participant to create her / his personal
congress programme schedule. CO CONGRESS ONLINE
®
offers an extensive congress service. Abstracts will also
be published in an abstract book which is a supplement
to Virchows Archiv. Participants will receive a copy of the
final programme and the abstract book with the congress
material.

LETTER OF INVITATION
The congress organisation will be pleased to send a­
formal letter of invitation to delegates requesting an in­
vitation letter for visa purposes. You can apply for an in­
vitation letter online during the registration process on the
congress website. The letters will be sent as e-mail attach-
ments. It is understood that such an invitation is intended
to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a
visa. This does not imply a commitment from the congress
to provide any financial support.

VISA
The entry formalities for United Kingdom vary according
to the country of origin. Congress delegates are asked to
address enquiries about entry and vaccination require-
ments to the travel agent or to the local British consulate
in the home country.

INSURANCE
The congress fee does not include insurance. All partici­
pants should arrange for their own insurance. Health and
accident insurance is recommended and has to be pur-
chased in your country of origin.

CURRENCY
The official currency of the United Kingdom is the British
Pound. Congress payments will be accepted only in EURO
(except for tour bookings which will be charged in GBP).

CLIMATE IN LONDON
London has one of the mildest climates in the UK, but the
weather can be unpredictable. Londoners get used to car-
rying both an umbrella and sunglasses to be prepared for
all eventualities! The day-time temperature in London in
early September ranges between 11 and 20 °C.

The ExCeL London is located in the booming East London,
right on the banks of the River Thames. Explore Canary
Wharf, Europe’s most vibrant business district.
Across the river, Greenwich is a place of exceptional beau-
ty, offering a variety of visitor attractions including the
National Maritime Museum, the Cutty Sark and the Royal
Observatory. Other local attractions are the O2, the world-
famous Tower Bridge and the historic surroundings of the
Royal Naval College.
