In June, the average temperature is 15° C / 59° F and the weather conditions are permanently changing. VANCOUVER INFORMATION COUNTER A Vancouver Information Counter is located in the regis- tration area and open in the morning from Monday – Wednesday, June 3–5, 2019. Please contact the staff for city information on Vancouver or reservations. TRAVEL AND ACCESSIBILITY How to get from the airport to the Vancouver Conven- tion Centre Vancouver International Airport is located approximately 20 minutes / 12 km from downtownVancouver and served by a wide variety of local, national and international air- lines with direct routes to most major destinations. The airport is connected by the Canada Line rapid transit link to Vancouver City Centre and Waterfront Station. Trains run approximately every 5 – 10 minutes, and the travel time is 30 minutes. Licensed taxis are available at the airport. The taxi fare is approximately CAD 35 – 40 per way plus gratuity. Taxis Vancouver taxi cabs are allowed to operate within the Vancouver area, including Vancouver International Air- port. Taxis can be called, hailed on the street or found at one of more than 50 official taxi stands located around the city. Parking Parking space is available next to the Vancouver Conven- tion Centre and participants arriving by car are advised to use these facilities. Parking fees are not included in the registration fee. Public Transportation The Vancouver Convention Centre is located in the city centre of Vancouver. It can be reached by public transpor- tation: TransLink provides city transit for tourists and resi- dents seven days a week via buses through its transit sys- tem, which includes the SkyTrain. Major hotels are within walking distance to the congress venue. Ferry Services Regular ferry services are running from Waterfront station next to the convention centre to north Vancouver. Fre- quency: approx. every 15 – 30 minutes; travel duration: 20 minutes.
