CurrenCy
The currency in Canada is the Canadian Dol-
lar. Exchange Rate: 1 EUR – 1,52218 Cana-
dian Dollar (as of May 2014).
eleCtrICIty
The electrical supply is 110 Volts and
60 Hertz. Canada uses the two-flat pin system.
tIme zone
Canada is divided into six time zones: New-
foundland, Atlantic, Eastern, Central, Moun-
tain and Pacific. Vancouver is located in the
Pacific time zone: UTC−08:00 (PST).
ClImate
Vancouver has a moderate oceanic climate
with summer months that are typically dry,
often resulting in moderate drought condi-
tions in July and August. From June to Au-
gust daytime temperatures linger just above
20° Celsius / 70° Fahrenheit. Evenings, espe-
cially in the surrounding mountains, are a
bit cooler.

The 29th CINP World Congress does not ac-
cept any liability for damages and/or losses
of any kind which may be incurred by the
congress participants or by any person ac-
companying them, during either the official
activities or excursions. Delegates partici-
pate in all tours/events at their own risk. Par-
ticipants are advised to take out insurance
against loss, accidents or damage that could
be incurred during the congress.
reCordIng
Cameras, video cameras or audio recording
devices are not permitted in the session
rooms. Any recording of sessions is strictly
forbidden.
smokIng
Vancouver Convention Centre is a non-smok-
ing venue. Smoking is prohibited within the
congress venue.
safety
As in all major cities and congress venues,
people should take care of their personal be-
longings. It is not advised to wear your badge
outside the CINP congress activities and spe-
cial events.
