WFSBP 2021 32 Format Descriptions of the Scientific Sessions PLENARY LECTURES Plenary Lectures are 60-minute sessions held by re- nowned experts. The speakers are chosen among the most prominent researchers in their respective fields. DEBATES Debates are intended to offer a platform for a lively yet balanced discussion on controversial issues. A moderator (chairperson) and two speakers (one proponent and one opponent) will state their opinions on different subjects. WFSBP TASK FORCE SYMPOSIA WFSBP Task Forces will submit symposia organized by their key members on issues related to their field of spe- cial expertise. Those symposia will be included in the sci- entific program and pertain to Treatment Guidelines, Consensus Statements and other hot topics in their re- spective thematic areas. SYMPOSIA Symposia are selected, covering basic, clinical, interface, and conceptual topics of Biological Psychiatry. Symposia are 90-minute sessions and will be organized and chaired by the experts whose proposals are accepted by the Inter- national Scientific Program Committee. WORKSHOPS Workshops are 90-minute highly interactive sessions with an educational focus. This format is designed to give spe- cific regions a platform for presentation and networking. FREE COMMUNICATIONS Authors are invited to submit abstracts on their latest research findings. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed and the best will be selected and allocated to Free Com- munication Sessions. POSTERS Accepted posters will be part of the virtual poster exhibi- tion which is accessible for all registered delegates throughout the congress. EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS (Young Investigator Award Sessions) These sessions are dedicated to young researchers up to 40 years of age who will be pre-selected via an applica- tion process. Herewith the WFSBP is promoting education for talented young researchers. Interactional and practical learning is in the focus of these sessions. The educational sessions are open to all congress delegates. INDUSTRY SPONSORED SYMPOSIA These 90-minute sessions are fully integrated into the con- gress. The sessions are organized and executed by the pharmaceutical industry by unrestricted educational grants. CME CREDITS An application will be made to the UEMS EACCME for accreditation of this event. CME credits will be granted for live viewing only, not for on-demand viewing. The UEMS EACCME CME credits are recognised by the American Medical Association towards the Physician’s Recognition Award (PRA). More information will become available prior to the congress on the congress website http://www.wfsbp-congress.org . On top of the 3 congress days, all WFSBP sessions will be available on demand for 2 months after the congress via the congress website.
