WFSBP 2021 | 1st Announcement/Call for Abstracts

WFSBP 2021 4 Dear Colleagues, On behalf of the executive committee of the World Federation of the Societies of Biological Psychiatry (WFSBP), we are delighted to invite you to attend the 15th World Congress of Bio- logical Psychiatry. The Congress will take place between 27th to 30th June, 2021, in Vienna, a city world renowned for its majestic palaces, musical heritage and artistic masterpieces. “Precision Psychiatry in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and New Technologies” is the major theme of this Congress. The Congress will feature plenaries, symposia, workshops and posters that will highlight the advances in the fields of drug discovery, genomics, imaging, omics, cog- nitive neuroscience, digital and clinical phenotyping, e-mental health and virtual care, and how artificial intelligence can leverage such advances to aid personalized treatment of people with mental disorders and addictions. Priority will be given to symposia and workshop propos- als that report on advances in these areas using novel tools and technologies. In addition, edu- cational sessions and courses will be offered on pragmatic topics that are of immediate rele- vance to trainees and clinicians, from research and clinical practice perspective. In addition to learning about state of the art advances in precision psychiatry, the World Con- gress provides an opportunity to savour the grandeur of historic Vienna, home of Mozart and Beethoven, and marvel its splendors including a visit to renowned Opera House, an excursion to the spectacular Schönbrunn Palace, a tour of Vienna’s wonderful Kunsthistorisches Museum of art and a trip to the Sacher hotel to sample its famous pastry. A trip toVienna is not complete without a visit to the museum of the neuroscientist-turned-psychotherapists, Sigmund Freud and Viktor Frankl.
