18 ECP 2019 · Nice e OPENING CEREMONY AND NETWORKING RECEPTION Saturday, 7 Sept 2019 e 19:00 – 22:00 Nice Acropolis Convention Centre Join the official Opening Ceremony of the 31 st European Congress of Pathology in the Apollon Auditorium of the Nice Acropolis Convention Centre. During the ceremo- ny, there will be words of welcome by the President of the ESP, the Chair of the LOC and an entertainment act. The Opening Ceremony will be followed by a Networking Reception in the Exhibition Hall. e CONGRESS CONCERT Monday, 9 Sept 2019 e 20:00 – 22:00 Cathedral Ste Réparate Since the end of the 17 th century, the silhouette of the Cathedral Ste Réparate has dominated the historical centre of the city of Nice. Originally constructed on the hill where the castle stood, the cathedral was moved into the lower town during the 16 th century. It was embellished with works of art in the course of the 18 th century as well as a bell tower which was built from stones from the former cathedral. The façade, built be- tween 1825 and 1830, marks the completion of the build- ing along the lines of Baroque aesthetic style. The Ensemble Baroque de Nice, which has been one of the first French ensembles specialising in baroque music, gathers musicians playing on period instruments and will entertain the ECP audience with charming, warm, original tunes.
