16 ECP 2018 · Bilbao e CONGRESS WEBSITE Further and updated information will be available on the internet at www.esp-congress.org . e CONGRESS LANGUAGE The official language of the 30 th European Congress of Pathology is English. e LETTER OF INVITATION The congress organisation will be pleased to send a formal letter of invitation to delegates requesting an invitation let- ter for visa purposes. You can apply for an invitation let- ter online during the registration process on the congress website. The letters will be sent as e-mail attachments. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply a commitment from the congress to provide any financial support. e VISA The entry formalities for Spain vary according to the coun- try of origin. Congress delegates are asked to address enquiries about entry and vaccination requirements to the travel agent or to the local Spanish consulate in the home country. e INSURANCE The congress fee does not include insurance. All partici- pants should arrange for their own insurance. Health and accident insurance is recommended and has to be pur- chased in your country of origin. e CURRENCY The official currency of Spain is Euro (EUR). Congress pay- ments will be accepted only in EURO. e CHILDREN @ ECP Unfortunately, children can neither be allowed into the scientific sessions nor into the Industry Exhibition, as the ECP is a congress for health professionals. e CLIMATE IN BILBAO Bilbao has an oceanic climate. The day-time temperature in early September ranges between 15 and 25 °C. Rain is possible. e CITY OF BILBAO Bilbao is a cosmopolitan, open, welcoming, lively, elegant and modern city which brings together features of a unique cultural heritage, with a new aesthetic in which the avant- garde shares the streets with art to create a new balanced and remarkable urban landscape. The Bilbao that you see today is the result of an historic process of renovation and reinvention which was necessary to address the new challenges of the 21 st century. It began with the opening of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao, which undoubtedly marked a starting point for the impressive and renowned economic, urban and environmental transforma- tion of the city.
