Final Programme 2019

3 WORLD FEDERATION WELCOME ADDRESS Dear Colleagues and Friends, On behalf of the World Federation of ADHD, we are pleased to welcome you to our 7 th World Congress on ADHD – From Child to Adult Disorder in Lisbon, Portugal, from 26 to 28 April. Looking forward to see you in Lisbon, the capital and largest city of Portugal, with an estimated popu- lation of half a million residents. Lisbon is recognised as an "alpha-level global city" because of its im- portance in finance, commerce, media, entertainment, arts, international trade, education and tourism. The congress center is located close to the river Tagus and the historical district and cultural heritage of Belem, just a few minutes from the city center, in a prime area with a vast transport supply. It is a perfect venue for the upcoming 7 th World Congress on ADHD . Every second year, our World Congress attracts numerous delegates from all over the world who want to learn about the latest research findings and perspectives on ADHD. You are cordially invited to attend lectures of world-renowned speakers, presenting the most recent information on ADHD and related disorders, and to share experiences and knowledge with old and new friends. The Scientific Programme Committee has once again created an excellent scientific programme, consi- sting of outstanding Plenary Lectures, parallel Hot Topic and Research Consortia Symposia, Late Breaking News, a Grand Round, a Pro and Con Debate, and Guided Poster Tours. Furthermore, in order to gua- rantee a more individualized and interactive atmosphere, we invite you to attend our Educational Semi- nars and Meet the Expert Sessions, which will take place in the afternoons. Of the more than 100 abstracts submitted by young scientists, the best eight have been selected by the Scientific Programme Committee. The authors were invited to give a presentation as part of our two Young Scientist Sessions. With this approach, we intend to emphasise the importance of original scien- tific contributions by our young colleagues at the congress. We are pleased to have received more than 180 poster abstracts. To make sure that the presentations of the different topic categories can be represented uniformly, we have organised altogether 29 Guided Poster Tours. We would like to encourage you to not only view these selected posters, but to also engage in active discussions and to exchange ideas with our young colleagues. We want to thank all the speakers, contributors and sponsors. We look forward to welcoming you in Lisbon and hope that you will enjoy our exceptional scientific programme. We promise you an unfor- gettable learning experience with the most recent and authoritative information on all aspects of ADHD. Thank you very much for your participation! With kind regards, Luis A.
